Wee Readers

Wee Readers was founded on the idea that linking reading to related activities would positively reinforce early reading, in particular, by demonstrating immediate relevancy and meaning.  In the beginning, there were no such resources online and so we spent many hours brainstorming and field testing (read: trying out ideas on our own kids!) pairings of book titles with fairly specific activities.  Everything was theme-focused and age-appropriate.  

Though we now only occasionally put forward new pairings of suggested readings and related activities, we still firmly believe that making such tangible linkages helps further kids' interest in reading.  We are happy to report that there are now several good resources available on the web that do exactly what we originally set out to do.
